Vitra Home Stories for Spring 2026

As spring arrives, Vitra introduces new products that will make your long-awaited time on the patio, balcony, or in the garden even more enjoyable.

All Eames Shell chairs are now available with the distinctive La Fonda base, and Eames Wire Chairs come with the Bikini outdoor upholstery option.

The iconic Panton chair, made of durable polypropylene, is also perfect for outdoor use.

Oblíbenou Pantonku si můžete vybrat v jedné z několika atraktivních odstínů nebo v klasické bílé, černé nebo červené barvě. Nezapomeňte ani na ty nejmenší a pořiďte jim odolnou Panton Junior!

VERNER PANTON 100 YEARS

Verner Panton was one of the most influential designers of his time. Born in Denmark, he moved to Switzerland in the early 1960s to develop the Panton Chair with Vitra. Until now, upholstered products from the Panton collection have been available in bold, colorful fabrics.

Although these iconic colors are essential to Verner Panton’s portfolio, they do not always harmonize with modern interiors. To suit contemporary settings, Vitra has updated the fabric selection for the upholstered products in the Panton Collection and introduced the option of high-quality leather.

The Verner Panton Upholstery Collection is crafted from carefully selected, high-quality materials, designed to complement today’s sophisticated living and working spaces.

CONE CHAIR

In the late 1950s, the radically new look of the Cone Chair changed perceptions of what a chair could be—and marked the first expression of what would later become Verner Panton’s signature design language.

The entire body is upholstered in fabric, and the comfortably padded backrest can also serve as armrests depending on how you sit. Today, the Cone Chair is still manufactured using the same artisanal methods as when it was first created.

HEART CONE CHAIR

Following the enthusiastic reception of the Cone Chair in 1958, Verner Panton soon created the Heart Cone Chair. Thanks to its wide, heart-shaped backrest, the design quickly became a well-known icon.

However, the chair is not merely an aesthetic element: it also allows for ample freedom of movement, while its upholstery ensures comfortable seating.

Today, the Heart Cone Chair is still produced using the same traditional craftsmanship.

VISIONA STOOL

Verner Panton designed the Visiona Stool as part of an interior installation created in 1970 for his legendary “Visiona 2” exhibition in Cologne. The compact upholstered stool provides practical and comfortable seating.

Its understated geometric shape allows the Visiona Stool to be combined with a wide range of furniture.

Thanks to its light weight, it can be easily moved and spontaneously grouped together.

The fabric cover is secured with an elastic strap, allowing for easy removal and cleaning.
