Aluminium Chair EA 103 by Charles and Ray Eames is an elegant upholstered chair designed for comfortable seating at a table. Aluminium armrests are paired with a fixed four-star base for support when sitting down and during longer meals or conversations.
Instead of a rigid shell, the seat and backrest are formed by a resilient cover stretched between two aluminium side members. Distinctive horizontal ribbing emphasises the slim silhouette and provides comfortable support. This dining version is narrower and higher than other models in the Aluminium Group.
The die-cast aluminium frame and base come in polished, chrome-plated or powder-coated finishes. Fabric and leather covers allow the chair to complement dining rooms, workspaces and meeting tables. Glides are available for carpet and hard floors.
