Aluminium Chair EA 124 by Charles and Ray Eames is a lounge chair with a high backrest and head cushion. Slender aluminium profiles and horizontal ribbing give it a light, architectural appearance.
A tensioned fabric or leather cover creates a resilient seating surface that supports the body without bulky padding. The backward tilt mechanism has adjustable resistance to suit the user’s weight. A four-star base on glides allows the chair to swivel.
The frame, armrests and base are made of die-cast aluminium with a polished, chrome-plated or powder-coated finish. Leather versions have a Plano fabric back panel in the combination specified by Vitra. EA 124 offers a comfortable place for reading and relaxing in the living room.
