Bascule Lowback & Bench by Studio Πpairs a compact lounge chair with a padded bench for resting your feet. Its loosely draped cover draws on tailoring techniques and wraps around the structure like a lightweight jacket.
A concealed mechanism automatically adapts to the user’s weight and follows movement from an upright seat to a deep recline. The seat cushion uses recyclable polyurethane V-Foam, while the back cushion and armrests contain recycled PET fibres. The bench combines a steel structure with V-Foam padding and has a fixed height.
The chair is available with a swivelling aluminium base in two seat heights or a fixed oak base in the low version. Covers can be removed for professional cleaning and individual components can be repaired or replaced. Duo-tone upholstery combines two colours of the same fabric on the inner and outer chair faces and the top and underside of the bench.
