designed by Maarten Van Severen, 2004

Designed by Maarten Van Severen, the .05 chair combines a rigorously simple silhouette with flexible comfort. Its slender integral skin polyurethane foam shell adapts to the body and provides a soft seating feel without a separate upholstery cover.

Leaf springs integrated into the upper backrest allow it to yield slightly when the sitter leans back. Together with the flexing cantilever base, they create comfortable seating for dining, meeting rooms and cafés. The tubular stainless steel base is available with a brushed or black powder-coated finish.

Choose from three shell colours, glides for carpet or hard floors, and non-stacking or stacking versions for up to five chairs. The powder-coated version is also suitable for temporary or seasonal outdoor use when the manufacturer’s care instructions are followed. After prolonged exposure to the elements, clean the chair and store it in a dry, sheltered place.
