The Happy Bin by Vitra is a trash can that Swiss designer Michel Charlot conceived more as a small sculptural object than as a typical office accessory. He drew inspiration from the work of Hans Arp, resulting in a slightly irregular, organic shape that appears as if it were formed by natural growth.

Its simple form combines a playful look with everyday functionality, bringing a less formal feel to both work and home environments. The Happy Bin is made of durable plastic and is available in two sizes and several color options. The current Happy Bin RE models are made from 100% recycled polypropylene, whose subtle color variations naturally highlight the organic character of the design.

Thanks to its unobtrusive silhouette and striking details, the Happy Bin easily blends in next to a desk, in a home office, and in other interiors where even a purely practical object should look well-designed and sophisticated.
