The Mynt Soft chair by Vitra combines the comfort of a lounge chair, the ergonomics of an office chair, and an elegant, timeless design. Created in 2026 by French designer Erwan Bouroullec, the chair is based on the concept of natural and dynamic seating that adapts to the body’s movements. Thanks to its compact proportions, soft upholstery, and pleasantly rounded shapes, the Mynt Soft easily blends into home interiors, offices, and communal spaces.

The foundation of this exceptional comfort is the patented Mynt mechanism, discreetly hidden beneath the seat. It automatically responds to the user’s weight and allows for smooth tilting both forward and backward, with the seat moving independently of the backrest. The mechanism’s resistance adjusts to the user’s body weight without the need for manual adjustment. In addition, the swivel base with height adjustment allows for an easy transition from a low, relaxed position to comfortable seating at a dining or work table.

The soft upholstery uses innovative V-Foam polyurethane foam, which Vitra developed in collaboration with BASF with a focus on recyclability. The upholstery is available in a wide range of fabrics and leathers, allowing the chair’s appearance to be tailored to the character of the interior. Mynt Soft thus offers an exceptionally versatile solution for everyday seating, where natural movement, comfort, and aesthetics complement one another.
