The iconic CH24 Wishbone chair by Hans J. Wegner occupies a special place in the world of modern design thanks to its unique shape.

When designing the CH24 chair, Wegner decided to combine the backrest and armrests into one piece. To provide stability to the steam-bent top and ensure comfortable support, Wegner developed the distinctive Y-shaped backrest for which the Wishbone chair is named.

More than 100 steps are required to produce each Wishbone chair, most of which are done by hand. The hand-woven seat alone takes a skilled craftsman approximately one hour to make and uses approximately 120 yards of paper rope, whose impressive durability and stability make the chair strong and long-lasting.

The chair offers comfort and stability while satisfying aesthetic desires for a distinctive, elegant form. Over time, it has gained recognition as the ideal chair that captures the essence of modern Danish design.
