A new bistro has been added to the Brno gastromap. Its dominant feature is a rattan cloud.
From the name of the restaurant the whole concept was derived, which was developed by Postrop studio headed by Josef Řehak: "I learned from the client that mây in Vietnamese means rattan and also cloud, I knew immediately that we would build on it. A few basic decisions, from choosing the classic TON 811 chairs with rattan filling to creating a cloud over the entire restaurant space, then set the direction for everything else," he says;
The result is a clean interior that works with the contrast of straight lines and curves or half-circles in a soft but playful colour palette with accents of green and pink. Ash wood dominates the space in terms of materials. On two floors, the restaurant can accommodate over 80 guests seated in an unconventional arrangement that follows the shape of a rattan cloud. The atypical arrangement of the tables is reminiscent of one large banquet, yet each of the tables has plenty of privacy;
